Have Crabs been on your mind? NO?! Well guess what… there’s a new PVP game mode in Crabada called the Battle Game that’ll certainly change that. It’s the premier idle battler that’s going to make me very rich. But don’t fret that’s why my tag is enteryourwealth, I’m here to share with my frens. Without further ado:

In this guide I’ll assume you know nothing of Crabada. I will break down the Crabada from setup to being Crab battle ready.

As a preface you’re going to have to buy $TUS meaning you’ll need to get money on Avalanche and go to the Trader Joe Dex to swap for it. After this you’ll need to find yourself into the Crabada Marketplace.

BUYING THE RIGHT CRABS

Marketplace Filters by enteryourwealth

There are 8 classes in Crabada composed of 3 tanks (Surge, Bulk, Gem), 3 DPS (Craboid, Prime, Ruined) & 2 supports (Organic, Sunken).

  • All Tanks are “usable” and are the least important when building a composition but my favorite Tank is the Gem class which we’ll go in-depth why later.
  • Out of the DPS classes Ruined and Prime outshine Craboid in damage, so we’ll filter Craboids out first.
  • Lastly Supports are useless we’ll filter them out completely

The composition will use 1 Tank & 2 DPS, or 1 Gem, 1 Ruined & 1 Prime respectively .

Crabs have two abilities which correspond to 2 separate body parts on your crab. Every other body part can more or less be ignored. These two body parts are the pincers & eyes. The pincer dictates the charged ability which does a percentage of the attack stat of your crab while the eyes dictates your passive proc ability which comes in a buff or debuff to your crabs.

Long story short we simply are choosing the crabs with pincer abilities that have the highest percentage damage or supplemental eye utility and the serves the most beneficial proc. Here are the candidates:

Best DPS in Crabada by enteryourwealth

These are the only viable pincers & eyes for DPS:

  • Prime Pincers: Avalanche, Ether
  • Prime Eyes: Cardano, Bitcoin, Avalanche
  • Ruined Pincers: Crombie, Crailer, Cragon
  • Ruined Eyes: Crailer, Cragon, Crombie

You can mix and match these as fits your strategy of speculation. If you read all the abilities it will be self-evident why these were chosen. All pincer abilities included are the highest in the game at 220% when factored with the Ruined’s & Prime’s high Attack stat. The eye procs either boost damage by 25-30% or stun the enemy, which makes the crab affected skip a turn. With the only unique “last stand”eye ability belonging to Crombie: HP cannot be reduced below 1 for [2] turns, which may be overpowered?

Any tank will do okay, but this one is a GEM!

You’re either picking the Surge class for having the highest tank/battle stats in the game, or the Gem class of which has combination of the pincer belonging to the punny Earl Cray and either the Cramethyst or Cranet for eyes.

The Earl Cray pincer abilities buffs the entire team for 35% increased damage for 1 attack. Coupled with Prime or Ruined, you know the intention behind this build. Cramethyst eye proc puts up a shield of 20%, while Cranet gives 30% armor, nothing to special but better than the other options.

Pincer Ability/Attack mechanics

There are two types of attacks: Normal attacks, and the aforementioned Pincer ability attack. The pincer ability attack can only be used when the Crab’s skill bar is filled. It is filled in three ways.

  • Using normal attack, fills proportional to crabs speed
  • Getting hit by any attack = fills 25
  • Getting by a critical hit = fills 50

Skill bar is filled completely at 150

Factional Advantage

Well since I’ve built you this team, you basically didn’t have to do any of the math but you should read the whitepaper to get a breakdowns of all the mathy stat mechanics that goes into this analysis. But if you’re too lazy basically just look at the pretty colors below and that should suffice.

Taken From Discord

No idle battler is complete without adding a rock, paper, scissor “super effective mechanic. In Crabada, it’s known as Factional Advantage. As the name goes it gives advantage to one faction over another.

Factional Advatange Chart from Crabada Whitepaper

Individual crabs have a 15% damage boost against crabs it has a Factional Advantage over. As our composition is composed of 2 Lux & 1 Abyss. Our weakness is to Faeries and Trench. These happens to host the worst classes in the game Organic & Sunken. Coincidence, I think not? This means this eyw cookie cutter comp is unstoppable!! Well at least until they nerf me but better companies have tried. One thing to point out here, is that Ore faction hosts Bulk & Surge and most compositions will have at least 1 prime, making the case that Gem is probably the best tank currently.

Formation Rules

Example Formation from Crabada Whitepaper

Attack priority goes as follows:

  • Attacks first prioritize front-line first
  • Attacks will then prioritize crabs on the same row
  • Attacks lastly will prioritize top to bottom

Full example in the Whitepaper

Turn Order

Who attacks first?

  • team with highest total speed goes first
  • crab with highest speed on team attacks first
  • front-line crabs attack first

The End :)
